Commercial Insurance

It is difficult to summarize the types of claims which arise in the context of commercial insurance policies.  Some of these are personal injury claims arising out of the negligence of the commercial enterprise.  All of the attorneys at Bemis, Roach and Reed are Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law to handle any personal injury claim arising out the negligence of a commercial enterprise, be it a trucking company, construction contractor or major manufacturer.

The other claims that often arise in the context of commercial insurance policies are claims for insurance bad faith related to a denial of a claim against the commercial policy.  Such claims often arise out of such things as fire damage, storm damage, water damage, business interruption and other losses.  Commercial claims are often much more complex than a regular insurance claim as they involve not only the direct loss or damage to the structure, but the lost profits and other business interruption costs associated with the inability of the business to operate at its full capacity during the time it takes to complete repairs.  Mr. Bemis is Board Certified in Consumer and Commercial Law to handle such claims.
